Lisette Otero-Lewis
Bio:
Lisette earned a BA in Art at Belhaven University in Jackson, MS. "Art may not have been what most photographers would aim to acquire, but it gave me the insight and skills to see the light, color, perspective, and design in a new way," she says.
In December 2021, she earned her MA in Photography at the Academy of Art, San Francisco, which allowed her to hone her photographic voice and style. She decided to continue her studies and work towards an MFA in Photography. Doing so will allow her to focus her studies on a lyrical documentary about the hybridity of identity. She plans to create a photo art book on the subject. Lisette works at Daytona State College as an Adjunct Professor teaching Photography.
